Level 3 Advanced Studies in Experimental Stitch – Exhibition – Bachelor Buttons

Level 3 Advanced Studies in Experimental Stitch – Class Name: Bachelor Buttons – Blog 1 in a Series of 8
It was a real pleasure to have an in person exhibition here at The Gail Harker Center for Creative Studies in early July. The Bachelor Buttons, the latest group of students in Level 3 Advanced Studies in Experimental Stitch, had been working almost three years to reach this point. It wasn’t supposed to be three years but pandemics have a way of interfering with best laid plans. The course focuses on combining the skills of design, machine and/or hand stitch to develop complex finished items to a professional level.
Jumping into online learning was challenging, but perseverance was the key and the group, with Gail and Penny’s unwavering assistance ended up with a beautiful exhibition. The group was full of camaraderie, laughter and was ready to display the results of their hard work and exploration into stitching. Watch for more in the coming days as each student will be presenting their individual artwork.
Great blog, Ruth! Thanks so much! Penny
