Impressions of a Gardening Artist ……… Guest Blogger: Linda Ingham

Level 4 Experimental Research for Advanced Design

This exhibition was in August 2014.  We lost everything on our server for a few months but luckily our pictures and files have been restored thanks to our dedicated technician.  Now I can place the remaining students photos from the Garnet course  on the blog: here is the following blog from Linda Ingham:

Gardens, whether formally planned or naturally occurring, reflect colour, shapes and lines that excite the eye and the senses and evoke emotion. While I am not a “hands in the earth” gardener, I feel the same excitement when spring arrives – fresh green, bright splashes of colour, new growth everywhere. My skills in using various media, especially watercolour and acrylic paint, increased significantly as I used these resources to express my feeling. My observational skills have sharpened studying plants and leaves as I learned about their delicate structure.    Linda Ingham

Great work Linda. This is a nice time of year to be reminded of the freshness of gardens in all their spring and summer glory!
