Bead Extravaganza

June 30, 2014

Level 2 Studies in Design and Experimental Stitch

Barn House is quiet tonight as I pick up fallen beads from around the studio. The Bergamot group – 10 ladies and Penny,  left to go home.  Some to cross the border to Canada, others back to Island homes and other parts of Washington.  We spent part of the week beading, getting ready to make a hand beaded book. There were many beaded inspirations sprinkled between learning new techniques.   The class enthused about pictures of past students’ hand beaded  books and an international collection of beaded items from Penny Peters and some of the students.  So many ways to stitch beads and so little time.   Students  also learned about new methods of Applique. There’s always time to eat one of Don’s snacks – Peach Cobbler. We’ll all meet again in  November for the final 6th session  work out and the well deserved celebration that accompanies the completion of a course. Have a look at Related links below for more Bead Books.  Gail Harker

Didn’t we have a wonderful time? It is so lovely just to sit and stitch with all the bead inspiration around us.
