Color makes a Difference!

February 8, 2014

Sometimes when I am looking at students color schemes for a lengthy period of time or when I have been working on my own designs, I realize that viewing the color has brought an inexplicable  sensation of  warmth and inner peacefulness to me.  In winter, when there is not much sunlight but lots of gray brown it seems a dramatic contrast to play with pure saturated colors. In summer, it feels good to work with neutral colors. The most wonderful thing though is that you can use  colors in any way that suits you. Enjoy the color studies of Joann Sherman from Level 1 Color Course. How does color impactyour life?  Our next Online Level 1 Color Studies Course begins Feb. 11th, 2014.  Gail Harker

P.S. I am not one to talk about the Super Bowl but when it comes to analyzing the colors of the uniforms, that is another thing. Color symbols seems to matter especially to sports players and fans. Here’s an interesting blog written by Phil Hecken for Munsell’s Color Blog titled SuperBowl Uniforms: A Real Color War

Lovely color work, Joann Sherman. The level one color course was a favorite of mine.
PS – Gail, loved the reference to Super Bowl team uniforms and history behind them 🙂
