The Weird and Wonderful World of Sandy Little

January 23, 2014

Sandy Little lets her imagination loose in fabric, stitch and a plethora of techniques with quirky, unexpected and charming results.  Her remarkable execution takes a back seat to the sheer liveliness of her creations, and you find yourself wondering more about the world they inhabit.

Sandy was one of a select group of students who were the first to complete studies with Gail in the US. She was awarded the City & Guilds of London Diploma in Stitch and Design in 2004. Her study of Gargoyles and Grotesques, the theme she selected to work with while in the program, continues to inform her work.  She creates colorful characters that seem to belong in a medieval, yet timeless world.  Her ability to pair the playful visions of the inner-child with artistic skill produces novel and captivating work which is a treat to see.

Don’t miss Sandy’s special 1-day class, Imaginative Stories in Appliqué, June 3, 2014 for 10 – 5 p.m. to read more about the class click here. Registration is available through our website or by calling 360-466-0110.
