Designers take a break on the Swinomish Channel

The Garnets, a Level 4 Experimental Research for Design group met at our studio for a 5 day work session in late July. This was their 4th session – of 8. The weather was hot, so when the entire class was invited for a drink on the Beegle’s boat, it was a cooling idea. The boat was moored at the La Conner Marina on the Swinomish Channel. The Swinomish Channel is an 11 mile salt water channel that connects Skagit Bay and Padilla Bay. It is also one of the entrances to Puget Sound. Getting to the marina is only 5 minutes from the Barn and our studio. Thanks to Lorraine and her husband for allowing me to take pictures of their wonderful boat. We missed you Isabel and Wendy.
