Developing and Enhancing My Color Sense….. Guest Blogger – Annemarie Andresen
Late last summer, I was really excited when I signed up for my first mentored On-Line Level 1 Color Studies Certificate course with Gail Harker. Little did I know about the challenges that I would experience with my computer skills. But since I am always excited about learning something new, and a lot of help from Sabrina, who was unbelievably!! patient with me, I managed to log in to the class blogs and set up the Drop Box. After managing the technical difficulties, the learning and fun began, it was all smooth sailing. I enjoyed every single exercise from the first to the last. Gail Harker’s instructions were incredibly detailed and the conference calls very helpful. Every exercise made me look at my environment in a different way, colors never been seen were now part of my every day life. I learned something new about colors with every paint stroke I made: I refined my skills and got inspired also by my classmates sharing their ideas and methods. I managed to develop and enhance my color sense, and am now able to use colors more effectively. I received my Certificate last week and am very proud . I even received a graduation card from my family. I highly recommend this course. Gail is a very good teacher and her feedback is valuable and appreciated. I cannot wait to join her in La Conner in the Fall to do the next course on Design: Level 3 Studies in Art and Design.
Annemarie was recently part of the Heritage Online Color Study Group at our center and is also a dollmaker. Click here to see information about the next online color course beginning April 23, 2013 Level 1 Color Online
What beautiful colors you achieved. Can’t wait to try my hand in June!
Great Color Schemes! Your work inspires me to try another color schemes book using a new set of colors. What adventure! Penny
I thoroughly loved your colors…..the visual of the colors flowing into each other was mesmerizing and a nice respite during my workday!
