It’s Been a Wild Journey and it’s Far From Over………Guest Blogger Lexa Shaw

Level 3 Studies in Art and Design Exhibition – Class Name – Wintergreen

A major learning from this course is the difference between looking and really seeing what you are looking at.  Multiple techniques have been explored in a variety of ways and given many moments of revelation, while having fun. Gail has made the process of learning the elements of design a voyage of discovery that has given me the tools to continue to explore. My most surprising experience has been working with paper and paint for two years! Although worried about this in the beginning, I now find a sense of creativity in the media. The supportive and creative environment maintained by Gail, with her total commitment to our art journey, has made this time a rich experience. My appreciation also goes to my classmates for their diversity which has helped me to expand my view. It’s been a wild journey and it’s far from over!  Lexa             Artwork copyright Lexa Shaw

You expressed your artistic gains and your appreciation for the program so concisely and effectively. It was a pleasure just to read about how you benefited. Your artwork was beautiful. Since my interest in art is (so far) primarily directed toward floral and other natural objects, I enjoyed studying the pieces selected for display on the blog. Thank you!!
