Resist Dyed Hand Felted Books

September 1, 2012

Chad Alice Hagen has been teaching at our center for the past 5 days.  Students started doing resist dyes on fine felt.  The felt dried overnight on the clothesline and the students started stitching the next day.  They completed 2 very beautiful hand made books on the most luscious resist dyed felt in this session of 5 days. Each day was jam packed full of practical demonstrations to get through all of the various processes and techniques that were covered.

It has been a wonderful experience for all.  One after the other students proclaimed that this excellent class was not only exciting and interesting but was taught by a very knowlegeable teacher who was so generous with her knowledge and willingness to share.  What an inspiration to all of us!!!!!  Chad will be returning to teach again.

Watch for future dates.  Gail

Chad was a great teacher with a really fun sense of humor. The class was well paced and the gorgeous results speak for themselves. I’d love to work with chad again, and look forward to her return. Penny
