Color Demystified .. Guest Blogger – Candy Hoeschen

February 4, 2012

I received these fabulous pictures and note from Candy after teaching a class on Shaw Island.  Candy is now working on the level 1 Online Color Course at our Center.  Thanks Candy for sharing these pictures to inspire others.  Gail

Dear Gail,

Thanks for teaching the recent Color Demystified Workshop on Shaw Island.  Been a bit busy applying these ideas to dyeing. Two days after the class I sat down and used my dye stocks like paint to make the tint and shade progressions to brown, black, and navy. It worked pretty well. But then I had to go ahead and dye it on yarn. So, after procrastinating for 10 years, I finally have 23 pages of dye progressions. Thanks for the nudge! Now, on to analogous color progressions.   Candy Hoeschen
