Look at our Exhibition Program.

So much to do with so little time to prepare for our first exhibition at Barn House.  In addition to the Level 3 Art and Design, many other past and present students showed a wide variety of Level 1 to 4 Certificate and Diploma work this past weekend.   We had two large rooms of exhibits with more than 200 pieces of paper design and fiber artwork. Level 3 design students, Periwinkles chose artwork to go on the walls, prepared cloths to cover tables and agonized about how to fill the spaces. It is a challenge to hide workrooms so they magically appear as galleries for artwork. Terri, Kevin Shinn and Sabrina helped me hang the other pieces of art.  Don and Nick placed our sign on Chilberg Rd. so visitors could find us. We had 375 visitors to the show. We will also have part of the same exhibit open on Friday Sept. 30 and Sun. Oct. 2 – 2 to 5p.m. This will coincide with Quilt Fest organized by La Conner Quilt and  Textile Museum.   Keep watching our blog over the next week as our 6 Art and Design artists will be featured.   Gail

It was a fabulous show. The Periwinkles put on an incredible exhibit and the other pieces were something to strive for. The studio is lovely and there is so much potential for the future. I’m sure everyone sat with a glass of wine at the end of the day and a pat on the back to all.

Thanks for the pat on the back to all contributors and to Sabrina. We are planning another slightly smaller exhibit (much of the original exhibit remains) to coincide with Quiltfest in La Conner. . Sept. 29 – 2-5pm. and Oct. 1 – 2-5. Pass information on to any who might be able to attend or who may be attending Quiltfest – held by Quilt and Textile Museum.
