Fields of Tulips Blooming
May 1, 2012
Last week, near Mount Vernon and La. Conner Wa. there were fields of tulips blooming. April is usually rainy so it can be tricky to find the tulips in bloom without getting drenched. Don and I drove a few minutes to the fields, paid our $5.00 for parking and then braved the cold cold wind to get these photos. The color seems worth it. I think people need a lot of color this time of the year when winter has worn them out. I especially wanted to let some of our students and their mates, who have not been able to get outside much this spring have a peek at how wonderful the sight of all this color is. Gail

Great compositions Gail!
Gorgeous – it snowed here today
If you have fresh snow, then you will also have ethereal light to look at and photograph. How lucky. Gail
The snow didn’t stick around but I do try to remember how lucky I am to live in such a gorgeous place!
Tulips are my favorite flowers. What a beautiful gift you’ve sent us Gail. Thanks to you and Don for braving the cold. . . .
Tulips are my favorite flowers! Thanks so much to you, and your buddy Don for braving the cold to send this wonderful gift to us all!
Beautiful. Five years ago around this time I was in Oak Harbor, taking the Level 1 Contemporary Hand Stitch…and the tulips had already faded. Thank you for this glorious update!
